Product Overview

The 54672530 air filter element is a genuine Ingersoll Rand intake filter designed for N55 and N75 series screw air compressors. Its high-efficiency synthetic fiberglass media captures airborne dust and particulate before it reaches the airend, helping protect rotors, bearings and shaft seals from abrasive wear.

This large cylindrical pleated element measures approximately 247 mm outside diameter and 365 mm overall height, with a red polyurethane end-cap seal. It is interchangeable with HiFi Filter part SA17281 and several Atlas Copco reference numbers.

Standards & Compatibility

The element is tested in line with ISO 5011 (intake filter performance), ISO 16890 / EN 779 (general ventilation filter classification), GB/T 14295 and GB/T 6165. Compatible Atlas Copco reference numbers include 1613950100, 1613951000, 1631043700 and 2255300129.

Installation & Maintenance

  1. Isolate the compressor main power and apply lockout/tagout (LOTO); confirm the machine has fully stopped.
  2. Release the filter housing cover bolts or clamps and remove the cover.
  3. Withdraw the old 54672530 element and check that the old seal is not left in the housing groove.
  4. Wipe the housing interior and sealing face clean with a lint-free cloth.
  5. Inspect the new element for media damage, cracked end caps or hardened seals, and verify the part number.
  6. Fit the new element vertically into the housing centre, ensuring both seals seat correctly without skew.
  7. Refit the cover and tighten bolts or clamps evenly.
  8. Start the compressor and listen for any air leakage at the filter housing.

Replace the element every 4000 hours or 8–12 months (whichever comes first) under standard conditions, or every 2000–3000 hours in high-dust environments. Replace immediately if the media appears blackened or heavily loaded, or if differential pressure reaches 900 Pa.
